JEANNINE JACOKES

Jeannine is the CEO of Partners for the Common Good and the Community Development Bankers Association (CDBA).  A leader and innovator in the community development finance institution (CDFI) space, Jeannine works to educate donors and impact investors about a range of opportunities in the CDFI and community development finance sectors.

Jeannine was appointed CEO of Partners for the Common Good in 2001. During her tenure, she has grown the loan fund from a start up to more than $200 million in assets under management. In this capacity, she led the effort to organize CDBA, the national trade association for CDFI and mission led banks.

Jeannine brings to PCG a wealth of experience working with CDFI across the United States. She served as a senior member of the management team that launched the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund. Created by an act of Congress in 1994, the Fund has become the nation's leading investor and funder of community-based financial intermediaries and banks engaged in development finance activities.  

Jeannine previously served as a senior policy advisor at the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs where she played a key role in drafting many of the laws that currently govern the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's programs, as well as monitoring and providing oversight of Federal regulatory agencies that administer laws which impact the availability of credit in underserved markets. Jeannine also served at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
