Brendon Miller is currently the Executive Vice President, Chief of Staff, and Head of Communications with the Opportunity Finance Network (OFN), the leading national network of Community Development Financial Institution’s (CDFI) and a financial intermediary.

Previously, Brendon served as the Chief Development and Communications Officer for the The Washington Area Community Investment Fund, Inc. (Wacif).

The Washington Area Community Investment Fund, Inc. is one of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area’s leading CDFI’s focused on small business development. Wacif’s mission is to increase equity and economic opportunity in underserved communities in the Washington, D.C. area by investing knowledge, social, and financial capital in low-and-moderate-income entrepreneurs.

Brendon is a communications and development executive with 15 years of experience helping organizations access new funding, strategic partnerships, and public support. Over his career, Brendon has raised over $300MM for domestic and global causes that advance equity and improve the human condition. With experience as a political appointee, government official, and private sector leader, Brendon brings expertise in designing and implementing integrated development and communications plans, and creating and managing messaging aligned with donor priorities.

Prior to Wacif, Brendon has worked internationally as an executive at Crown Agents, FHI 360, and RTI International, in addition to domestic public sector experience in the Government of the District of Columbia.

Brendon holds a M.A. in Communications from Johns Hopkins University and an Accreditation in Public Relations from the Public Relations Society of America, where is a Board Member for the National Capital Chapter.
