DAVID DIETZ
David is a community builder, storyteller and social entrepreneur with a passion for sustainable supply chains, sustainable fashion, and sustainability focused branding/ecommerce/content. David is also an impact investor in the climate space, focusing on nature-based solutions, plastics, and carbon technologies. David has a particular gift for finding synergies and connecting people, priding himself on "being a truffle pig and coming up with those introductions that unlock major gold."
David is also the Global Director of Impact for NEXUS, a worldwide thought community that brings together leading next-gen wealth holders, impact investors and social innovators from the world’s most influential families to catalyze new leadership and accelerate solutions to our world’s most critical problems.
At NEXUS David has overseen the growth of The NEXUS Impact Accelerator and launched task forces to provide emergency aid to communities in distress. He also has led the development of the Impact Society, The NEXUS Forums program and The SUPR Initiative to eliminate single-use plastic in major sports stadiums across the country.
Prior to NEXUS, David was the founder of Modavanti, the world’s largest online sustainable fashion retailer. Modavanti was named best in Ethical Fashion by Instyle Magazine, and Honoree for 'Best Startup' for NYC by the New York City government.
David serves as a board member of Georgetown University’s Entrepreneurship Alliance working to expand Georgetown’s entrepreneurial community. David has also spoken at the White House, The UN, The Web Summit in Dublin and SXSW.
David lives in London and holds his degree from Georgetown University with a major in Arabic Studies and a double minor in Economics and Government.
