Delaney Steele is co-chair of Women for Women International’s Board of Directors. She has formerly served on the Executive Committee, Finance Committee, and the Revenue and Advancement Committee.

Women for Women invests in women survivors of war and conflict around the world and provides them with social and economic skills to transform their own lives. Over the past 25 years Women for Women International has worked with 500,000 of the world’s most marginalized women to gain the skills, confidence, and hope they need to rebuild their lives and their futures.

Each woman participating in Women for Women’s yearlong program works to strengthen herself across four critical areas of social and economic empowerment: influencing decision making, earning and saving money, improving health and well-being, and connecting to networks of support. These women pass their knowledge to those around them, creating a more just world—a world where every woman’s voice, role, and contribution are visible and valued.

Ms. Steele is also Executive Vice President of Strategy, Marketing and Product Sourcing and Services for Ross Stores. Prior to joining Ross in 2012, Ms. Steele was a Partner in the Consumer / Retail practice at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Ms. Steele has degrees in Engineering from Duke University, and the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she is a guest lecturer. In both schools, she was active in founding and leading organizations that supported women’s issues. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
